Mg Ajay (Mohan) Doley is a student activist and social worker closely associated with the TMPK (All Mising Students’ Union) – one of the national organisations of Mising nationality, the second largest tribal population of Assam –, for the past 15 years. Under his strong leadership, the Laika-Dodhia movement for rehabilitation gained momentum compelling the Government of Assam to form a high level committee for settling the Laika-Dodhia issues for the first time. During his tenure as the assistant secretary to the TMPK, Tinsukia district committee, he was assigned with the responsibility of Otsur, the mouthpiece of TMPK. He successfully served as editor Otsur for two consecutive terms. A graduate in English from the Tinsukia College, he is presently pursuing law in the BRM Government Law College, Guwahati. He is the founder managing director of River Green NGO, which works for the riverine people and wild conservation.
