Longso Yimkhiung
Longso Yimkhiung, from Mimi Village, which is located along the international border with Myanmar under Pungro Subdivision in Kiphire District of Nagaland. He did his schooling from Christian High School Pungro and completed Higher Secondary School from Zisaji Presidency College, Kiphire- Nagaland in 2013. He graduated in photography, videography and film making from Green Hub, Tezpur, Assam in 2015-2016. During his one-year course of training, he also interned with Foundation for Ecological Security (FES) in Nagaland in 2015-2016, he made 6 short documentary films on Community Conserve Area (CCA) in Nagaland during his internship. He also worked with Aaranyak as a documentation officer under Manas Tiger Conservation Programme (MTCP) Assam in 2016-2018. After his 4 years experienced and gained knowledge from different reputation organisation across north east, he started his small initiative on ‘Friends of Nature Youth Initiative’ in 2019, focusing the rural youths for involving in nature conservation in Nagaland.
He also got opportunity for NE water Talk state fellow from Nagaland under North East Affected Area Development Society (NEADS) for the period of one-month project which started from 15th Sept 2021 to 15th of October 2021.
His Hobby is travelling, listening music, always enthusiastic to explore the unexplored nature/places through his lens and love to work with community.
